I hold a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from OISE/University of Toronto. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I earned an H.B.Sc. in Biology from Mount Allison University and an M.A. in the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology from the University of Toronto. My background in biology—especially my honours thesis on bat behaviour—continues to inform my practice, grounding it in an awareness of how our connection to the natural world affects health and wellbeing.
Before studying counselling psychology, I worked in outdoor education, including as an Adult Programs Coordinator at the High Park Nature Centre, where I led nature-based programs for diverse populations. More recently, I spent four years at the National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC), where I facilitated presentations and provided counselling via a national helpline for youth and caregivers affected by eating disorders. These experiences continue to shape my commitment to land stewardship, and the integration of mental health and nature-based work.
