I am completing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto. I completed my MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Strathclyde and my B.A. in Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University. My research focuses on clients’ lived experiences of agency within the therapeutic relationship.
I began working as a therapist in 2021. Most recently, I developed expertise in somatic and focusing-oriented therapy while working in private practice. An important part of my professional identity is my role at the Waakebiness-Bryce Institute for Indigenous Health at the University of Toronto, where I support Indigenous ceremonies and community initiatives. I also provide individual therapy and co-facilitate psychotherapy groups for Indigenous community members with a focus on emotion regulation and healthy relationships. While completing my master’s degree in Glasgow, I worked with elementary and high school students, as well as their parents, who presented with concerns related to LGBTQ+ identity, suicidality, self-harm, domestic abuse, interpersonal relationships, and academic stressors.
